Default Earth Ele Farming

Howdy everyone. This is a little build i came up with. I hate doing missions and quests to lvl up and i love soloing things. Inspired by a guildie i made a solo build.

***This build can farm practically all the regular spots you can think of...trolls, ettins, griffs, minotuars, sand drakes, ect.***
After seeing what this build can do i officially (c) make it mine. ^_^

Gear: 1.5k canthan (10 armor while enchanted)
Earth headstone with sup earth on.
Sup vig (Still need to get that )

Stats:
16 earth
Rest into energy storage

Weapon : Galiords Staff

Skills:
Crystal wave
Teinais crystals
Aftershock
Ward Against Melee
Kinetic Armor
Armor of Earth
Earth Attument
Aura of Restoration

When using this build you have 216 armor + 50% chance to evadee melee attacks. Practically indestructable.

Usage: Minauars in the Elona reach mission, hydras (switch melee for elements), trolls in droks(tough..), sand drakes south of elona.
Im only 18 and lvl up with this build and farming at the same time ^^

Pre battle-Cast attument and AoR.
Running into battle- Agro and cast armor of earth and wards.
Battle- Cast kinetic armor and then spam the 3 AoE skills and wait till recharge.
All of the groups of monsters take under 15 seconds to kill.
This build is VERY fast, and its just really fun build to farm with.
/Edit: This build IS faster than all the 55 monk builds, fyi.

I love it.

^Minatuars, sorry most of them dissapeard before i could hit the ss button.

^Hydras

Disregard my comment about this being slow. I killed all of these groups in under 20 seconds.
/Enjoy.

This is similar to the build I use to solo farm with my elementalist. Basically for my damage I use stone daggers and after shock, and ether renewal for energy management. Mine can be a bit slow sometimes, but not too bad, and it's pretty damn effective. I never get low on hps or run out of energy.

A question though, I can see how your build there is faster then mine, but don't you run out of energy quickly? I mean you don't really have any way to get it back besides regular regen. You should keep an eye out for ether renewal. It's awesome for this type of build, and you can actually cap it in crystal desert, in one of the main missions.

First of all, thanks for all the feedback guys, i appreciate it.
To that comment above. I dont run out of energy for 1 reason. I kill things to fast! shockwave, crystal wave, tenasis crystals. Thats 10+15+15+ another shockwave to finish it off. I dont need that much energy regen i kill things before i run out. On trolls it gets a bit more complicated but ill try that and post pics later...mabey a video O.O

+ attument gives you a lot of energy back from the 15 spells.

Don't get too full of yourself, this is a pretty standard type build.

The attunement basically only reduces the energy cost of spells, not so much giving you energy back because the energy you get back is less then the cost of the spell. So if you're constantly fighting mobs and casting spells, like I do when I solo farm, I fail to see how you don't run out of energy and have to stop to regen. I use earth attunement along with ether renewal, and I still get to the point where I need to use ether renewal to get back energy.

I dunno, maybe I was doing something wrong, but I tried this build (just replacing ward against melee with ward of stability vs hydras) and after one hydra my 85 energy was down to like 20 or 30. I had earth attunement up, but casting all the enchantments, and the three attack spells just drained my energy like crazy. Obviously with no way to drain energy back, there's not much I could do at that point. Am I missing something?

I use ward against elements and dont cast till all the meteors are over with. You said "1 hydra"...your supposed to get the hydras all around you so the AoE will effect them all. All that energy you used for 1 hydra is all you need for 3.

Yeah I know, I just used that as an example. Basically my point was, that if you're using up all your energy on 1-3 hydras, you're going to have a hard time clearing the whole area of hydras.

joncoich is right...it's not that your build cannot kill 3 hydras it's can your build kill 12+ hydras? That's where he is going...you will need the energy to stay in a large battle. If you just drop your earth attunement and sub in balthazars then you will be ok. Better yet drop ward against mele since it kills energy while using balthazars. But if you really want to keep it then go E/me and use channeling for your energy. the dmg you take without ward against mele is still small, nothing that aura of restoration can't fill back up.

now if you want to just stand there and laugh at a group of 15 hydras then drop the staff also. by FAR the best weapon setup for a geomancer has to be a -2DMG +45health while enchanted shield and a Fiery Flame Splitter with a 20% enchantment mod on it. You don't get the 16 armor from the shield but you do get 8 armor (if gold) from the shield PLUS you get the -2 dmg which is huge. So the build now looks like this

Balthazars
Aura of Restoration
Kinetic Armor
Armor of Earth
Tenais Crystal
Crystal Wave
Shockwave
Stone Daggers OR Sliver Armor
